I gave this 3.5 ⭐

This story was good! Although I seen some reviews that claimed this book was horrible I have to disagree. I must agree though that it did take forever to get to the action. Then again don't most stories explain things in the beginning to then get to the juicy parts. I would've given it 4 stars BUT I was getting rather annoyed with the characters both Zipporah and Karen. I don't know who I was getting upset with more! Then there's also the fact that this is written by a ghost writer... so in my opinion it didn't live up to the VC Andrews name.

This story had a lot of lies and deceit, yet also shows how true friendship can lead to making hard choices and having to pick sides. I must say I was rather annoyed with Zipporah more because she was such a follower and wouldn't stand up for herself! I understand she was being a friend BUT there is only so much you can take from a so called friend.

I would recommend this read to anyone that likes mystery, suspense, ya lit, and VC Andrews books.
